Summary of My Week 6 Lecture
In our week 6, we had learnt about designing posters. The fundamental
principles of design are emphasis, balance & alignment, contrast,
repetition, proportion, movement and white space. The principles above are
the rules a designer must follow to create an effective and attractive
composition. However, it is not compulsory that we have to always follow the
principles to be "good". The elements of a design should be viewed as moving
parts that combine to tell a story. One will be able to break these graphic
design rules to create your own signature style once you had familiarize
ourselves with these principles of design.
TUTORIAL
For the tutorial lessons this week, Mr Fauzi showed us three videos as
shown below. The first video taught us about basics of photography such as
teaching us how to adjust aperture, ISO, shutter speed and other camera
settings. The link is
here.
The second video talks about doing creative product photography at
home. The link is
here.
The third video explained about how to do bottle product photography on a
white backdrop with just one continuous light and a smartphone. The link
is here.

REFLECTIONS
I found out that this topic is very interesting to learn as we get to
know that a B&W photo can be recolor using the tools in Adobe
Photoshop. In week 6, I had realized that I was getting more used to
using the tools in Adobe Photoshop which I felt happy about it. With the
correct skills and technique applied in our work, we will be able to
produce a good piece of work.
